I remember this purchase as being pretty cool in the sense that you would use the metered pump that would release a pre-measured amount of cream to equal the 10,000 IU. You can rub it on your chest or inner thighs and it would supposedly deliver 10,000 IU’s of Vitamin D through a transdermal process. That is a super high dosage for a daily treatment and I believe I did use it on a daily basis.
There is a correlation between psoriasis (and other auto immune disorders) and a low level of Vitamin D in the body. This purchase was made again, for psoriasis treatment specifically.
Did it work? I do remember feeling good after placing the cream on. The measured amount was a good size and I remember that it also had a great smell. It looks like the packaging has changed and the price has obviously gone up – but we are talking about a decade ago when this purchase was made.
I believe I made more purchases later on for this same product. I remember reading at one point, that direct exposure to the sun, with minimal clothing for about 20 to 30 minutes a day can produce the same amount of D as in this product.
So I started riding my bike with only running shorts and no shirt for about 30 min a day in the full sun. I believe that was the reason I stopped purchasing this product, as I still do the bike ride thing to this day.
The product looks has been available on Amazon since 2010. One thing I noticed today was that there is a similar product, by the same company for much less. The two sku’s seem to be the same size as well.
